Fault: Envelope jamming at Wetter. Envelope jams are 1 of 3 conditions: Jammed into wetter and difficult to remove without damaging envelope, Flipped up out of wetter which is easy to recover or Insert & Envelope separated completely and floating. Likelihood of occurrence raises the thicker the pack is.
Frequency: 2%+ Can occur in batches or randomly
Temporary Fix: Slowing machine down to 50% does help but while you loose on inserting speed, you gain by less machine stops and spoil processing. Instead of WET, ITK, IAR, Conveyor & Envelope Faults it’s a single WET fault which is more manageable and speedier recovery.
Long term Fix: Adjust pack settings, envelope stop and insert fingers.
